After two days in the hospital, Korda reported on social media Sunday afternoon that she was back at home and undergoing treatment. It was reported that while in Ponte Vedra Beach for an advertising photoshoot, her arm began to swell after a regular morning workout.
She proceeded to the emergency room as a precaution and was confirmed with a blood clot, as per her doctor’s instructions. For her part, Korda said she’s presently receiving therapy at home and that she would still continue to provide updates as they become available.
She tells everyone that she will return as soon as possible and thanks to everyone for their patience, but she also asks for space for her family’s privacy at this difficult time.
Ko, on the other hand, would be the player to beat at the beginning of last year. Her relative muteness in the first part of last year was surprising, given that she had won the money list in the United States after only four events in 2020. The Korean, on the other hand, won her first race since losing the No. 1 ranking to Korda Jr.
In case you missed the Singapore news last year when she won the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and rose to No. 1 in the world, Korda became one of the biggest stars on the LPGA, and she went on to win a Tokyo Olympics gold medal.
She and her father, Petr, a champion at the Grand Slam tennis tournament who clinched the 1998 Australian Open, finished the year at the PNC Championships.
Only Jin Young Ko, the world’s best female golfer, is ahead of Korda in the rankings after 12 LPGA Tour appearances. Last month, she competed in the LPGA Drive On Championship, where she finished in a tie for 15th place.
The 2021 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship was one of four victories for the 23-year-old last season on the LPGA Tour. In addition, she was a gold medalist at the Olympics in Tokyo in the summer of 1992.
Just over 3 weeks right before the Chevron Championship, the first one of 5 women’s majors, Korda suffered a setback.
Nadal wishes a speedy recovery
Plenty of reports and news today in Singapore say that Rafael Nadal wishes Nelly Korda a speedy recovery from the diagnosis, the record 21-time Grand Slam champion. Sebastian Korda’s older sister, Nelly Korda, was formally reported with a blood clot and is currently undergoing treatment.
Nadal won the Melbourne Summer Set, the Australian Open, and Acapulco in the first three tournaments of the year. In the second half of the 2021 season, Rafael Nadal was only able to play in one tournament. Nadal explained the secret to his success in 2022 prior to the initiation of the Indian Wells Masters.
It was stated in his press conference before the Indian Wells event that he has always been capable of adapting to his technique when he has had to improve. As a result, he said, he’s played energetically on some days and more defensively and tactically on other days.
This stage of his career necessitates a strong serve from him. He believes he has shown courage by playing with the correct intensity when it was called for, and that he is continually striving to improve. His tennis and energy on the court are more essential to him than anything else, he tells Sports Illustrated.
