The flaw in the Qualcomm Chips

This flaw allows mobile hackers to remotely target any Android users through malicious codes. These codes can be injected and have the hackers gain access to users’ text messages, call logs, and even eavesdrop during phone calls.

It is believed that hackers can hide within the modem chip and make itself incognito. This way, it can never be detected even by current security measures that modern phones have today. The bug was officially called the CVE-2020-11292.

Other than that, no further technical details have been shared. Qualcomm has already notified all the Android vendors and stated that patches are on their way. Albeit the rollout and implementation of these fixes may take time to fully execute.
