Spider man no way home

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is known for its heavily secretive film production, however if there is one title in the colossal film franchise that has the worst kept secret, it is no other than the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Worst Kept Secret in Hollywood

From its development until now on its impending release, the project is plagued with rumors, leaks and demands from fans.

From casting rumors to leaked set photos, the franchise has been a constant trending topic this year because of the well-read comic fans who liked to have a tasty confirmation from industry insiders about what the fans have been suspecting all along, the live-action Spider-verse.

In the recent controversy, some leaked photos are seemingly confirming the reprisal of the roles of the previous actors who have donned the web-slinger mantle along with an actor from a popular Marvel series on Netflix, making their debut in the third installment of the MCU Spider-Man franchise.

The Leaked Photos

A recent tweet from John Campea, a popular Youtuber who is known for his movie reviews, industry insider rumors and trailer breakdowns, have shown two images. The first one which clearly shows Charlie Cox, the actor from Netflix’s Daredevil returning as Matt Murdock.

The second one shows Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield reprising their roles as their versions of Spider-Man joining the current actor who is donning the mantle, Tom Holland. If this is really confirmed, then the multiverse has really opened to make the meeting of the trio happen.

Stronger Hint

What makes this assumption much stronger is the recent poster that portrays Doc Ock and Green Goblin, along with indications of Sandman and Electro from previous Spidey films. This is a clear hint of a live-action Sinister Six, if Vulture and Scorpion or maybe Mysterio joins the gang then Tom Holland’s Spidey might need help.

Even though the leaked photos must be taken with a grain of salt, they seemingly looked real. The only exception is if a genius photoshopped the two images and snapped a photo from a monitor to make the images look like a leak from a set.

If that is the case, then these fake photos looked realistic even though the living room scene uncannily looks the same as in the official trailers. The lamps and the bookshelves are also the same.

The Crossover

Ever since the project was announced, fans have been speculating that the third film will feature the other two Spider-Man actors.

Despite the continuous denial of Andrew Garfield who is being cornered multiple times to confirm his involvement in the film, the fans knew that this is not impossible since the actors who have played the previous villains confirmed their involvement.

Alfred Molina who played Doc Ock from Tobey Maguire’s Spidey trilogy and Jamie Foxx who played Electro from Garfield’s The Amazing Spider-Man films.

Also, Charlie Cox’s appearance as Matt Murdock/Daredevil could confirm the crossover between Netflix’s The Defenders and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The Spider-verse Is Happening

With the confirmation of the multiverse from previous MCU titles such as Doctor Strange and Loki, it is not impossible that the live-action Spider-verse is coming. If that is what is happening, it could be the most game-changing cinematic event and the biggest fan service ever that will happen in the history of cinema.

With only just a month and a few days before its impending release, the fans are still waiting for the second trailer. However, maybe Sony and Disney realized that there is no need for a second trailer because fans have been knowing what is going to come.

Spider-Man: No way Home will be released exclusively in theaters worldwide on December 17, 2021. A 45-day exclusive screening in theaters for the film is set before being released on streaming platforms.
